Ladies Night, which the League says celebrates "Broadway's most loyal group of theatregoers," will kick off at 5:30 PM at Spotlight LIVE with opening remarks by Testa, Hoffman and the League's executive director, Charlotte St. Martin. A "Women of Broadway" panel — moderated by Phyllis Newman and Valerie Smaldone — will follow at 6 PM. Those taking part in the discussion include Marian Seldes, Kate Shindle, Deidre Goodwin, Nina Lannan, Kristin Caskey, Charlotte Wilcox and Natasha Katz.

Participating Broadway shows include A Chorus Line, The Color Purple, Curtains, Hairspray, Legally Blonde the Musical, Les Misérables, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, Monty Python's Spamalot, The Phantom of the Opera, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Xanadu; participating Off-Broadway shows include The Fantasticks and Stomp.

Women who purchase a ticket to a participating show are invited to attend the free activities at Spotlight LIVE, which will also include Broadway karaoke, give-aways and raffles. All proceeds will be donated to the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative of The Actors Fund of America.

In a previous statement League executive director Charlotte St. Martin said, "Women represent 63 percent of Broadway audiences and 66 percent of ticket purchasing decisions so Ladies Night is our way of saying thank you. And we hope that the activities provided free this evening will remind our most loyal members about the variety of Broadway offerings and will give this very engaged demographic yet another reason to join us for an additional night on Broadway full of fun and entertainment. Women are also the primary decision makers when it comes to purchasing theatre tickets and planning a night out on the town, and we are delighted to host for them what we hope will become an annual event that educates them, pampers them, rewards them and just reminds them about how much we appreciate their loyalty to Broadway!"

Spotlight LIVE is located in Manhattan at 1604 Broadway between 48th and 49th Streets. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.LadiesNightOutOnBroadway.com.
