News James DeMarse, Susan Cella and More Star in Pittsburgh Public Theater's Other Desert Cities The Pittsburgh Public Theater concludes its "Made in America" series with Jon Robin Baitz’s Other Desert Cities, which is currently running through June 30.

Directed by Rob Ruggiero, the cast includes James DeMarse, Helena Ruoti, John Patrick Hayden, Susan Cella and Pilar Witherspoon. "Other Desert Cities takes place in 2004 in the Palm Springs home of Lyman Wyeth, a retired actor-politician in the Ronald Reagan mold, and his impeccable wife Polly," press notes state. "Their manicured life is upset when relatives arrive for the holidays including son Trip, who is a reality show producer, and Polly’s wisecracking sister Silda Grauman, who is just out of rehab. Most troubling is daughter Brooke, who is about to publish a revealing memoir."

The design team features Michael Schweikardt (scenic), Amy Clark (costumes), John Lasiter (lighting) and Zach Moore (sound). Casting is by McCorkle Casting. Alicia DeMara is the production stage manager, and Fredric H. Orner is the assistant stage manager.
