David Epstein's play is the second production in Symphony Space's "Summer Stock on Broadway" series. Previews will begin July 11 with an official opening July 18. The limited engagement will play through Aug. 5. Casting will be announced at a later date. Surface to Air, according to press notes, "is the story of a family forced to confront long-repressed emotions when the remains of their son, a Vietnam veteran, are identified 30 years after his plane was shot down in Vietnam. The unresolved passions and long-lasting effects of the Vietnam War seem especially timely in light of the issues of today."

David Epstein also penned Exact Change, which played London's Lyric Hammersmith. He wrote the books and collaborated on the lyrics for the musicals Wanted and The Bonus Army, and he also wrote the screenplay for "Palookaville."

James Naughton won Tony Awards for his performances in City of Angels and the revival of Chicago and a MAC Award for his cabaret evening, "James Naughton: Street of Dreams." He directed the Broadway revivals of Our Town and The Price, and his screen credits include "Brooklyn Bridge," "The Cosby Mysteries," "Ally McBeal," "The Devil Wears Prada," "The Good Mother," "The Glass Menagerie" and "The Paper Chase."

Surface to Air will play Tuesday-Saturday evenings at 8 PM and Sundays at 3 PM and 7 PM.

Tickets, priced $36 and $45, are available by calling (212) 864-5400 or by visiting www.symphonyspace.org. The Symphony Space box office is located in Manhattan at Broadway and 95th Street.
