News James, Williams and Antone Set for Reading of From My Hometown An industry reading of From My Hometown, which was seen at the Gramercy Theatre in 2004, will be presented May 18 at the Triad Theater, which will likely house a revival of the musical.

The cast for the reading will include Marcus Paul James (In the Heights), Juson Williams (The Wiz) and Keith Antone. Leslie Dockery and Robert Fowler will co-direct.

From My Hometown was conceived by 2010 Bistro Award winner Lee Summers and co-written by Summers, Ty Stephens and Herbert Rawlings Jr. The production features soul music of the '60s and '70s along with original songs.

The music is co-arranged by Summers and Jo Lynn Burks, who is also the orchestrator. The creative team also includes musical director Stacy Penson, lighting and sound designer Kane Chiang and stage manager Amaris Harney.
