News Jan. 28 Reading to Find Louis Zorich in The Desert Broadway veteran Louis Zorich (45 Minutes from Broadway, Goodtime Charley) will be lending his talents to an industry reading, Jan. 28, of a new comedy drama by Ian Cohen, The Desert. Also in the cast will be Cathy Curtain (Love, Janis), Greg Skura, Geannie Allen, Adin Alai, David Saltzman and Jamie Lorenzo (Six Goumbas and a Wannabe). Lorenzo described the plot thusly: "A young Brooklyn Jew seeks God, and God seeks him. It's a rocky relationship."

Broadway veteran Louis Zorich (45 Minutes from Broadway, Goodtime Charley) will be lending his talents to an industry reading, Jan. 28, of a new comedy drama by Ian Cohen, The Desert. Also in the cast will be Cathy Curtain (Love, Janis), Greg Skura, Geannie Allen, Adin Alai, David Saltzman and Jamie Lorenzo (Six Goumbas and a Wannabe). Lorenzo described the plot thusly: "A young Brooklyn Jew seeks God, and God seeks him. It's a rocky relationship." Author Cohen has had plays done at the Lark Theatre Company and other OOB venues; director John Callahan is a veteran of TV's "All My Children." Patty Watt, a co-producer of Love, Janis, is producing the Jan. 28 reading.

Tickets ($10 suggested donation) are available to the public via (212) 595-0924. The Desert reading takes place at 340 East 54th Street in Manhattan. Wine and hors d'ouevres will follow the 75-minute show.
