News Janet Dacal and Hugh Panaro Sing With the Young People's Chorus of NYC March 7 Wonderland star Janet Dacal and Hugh Panaro join the Young People's Chorus of New York City for a special one-night-only concert March 7 at the Rose Theater within Frederick P. Rose Hall.

The 7 PM concert, titled Dreamer, is a benefit for the Young People's Chorus, which has more than 1,300 participants from across New York City.

Panaro (The Phantom of the Opera, Side Show) is slated to perform "The Impossible Dream" from Man of La Mancha and "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables, while Dacal is set to offer "Once More I Can See" from the upcoming Frank Wildhorn musical Wonderland. Dacal stars in the new Broadway musical based on the classic "Alice in Wonderland," which arrives on Broadway March 21.

The evening also includes Bob McGrath ("Sesame Street"), pianist Eldar, violinist Ryu Goto and the New York Pops under the baton of Francisco J. Núñez. The Young People's Chorus of New York also showcase their own talents, including "The Song I Sing," penned by Ragtime Tony Award winners Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens.

The evening is presented in honor of YPC board member David Weild III, Esq., of Edwards, Angell, Palmer & Dodge, who is being presented with the Humanitarian Award; David Lai, A&R producer at Sony Masterworks, who will  receive the Artistic Award; and James Anderson, regional vice president at Travelers,  who will be presented with the YPC’s Corporate Award.
