News Janet Dacal and Hugh Panaro Will Sing With Young People's Chorus of NY March 7 Janet Dacal and Hugh Panaro will join the Young People's Chorus of New York City for a special one-night-only concert March 7 at the Rose Theater within Frederick P. Rose Hall.

The 7 PM concert, titled Dreamer, will serve as a benefit for the Young People's Chorus, which has more than 1,300 participants from across New York City.

Panaro (The Phantom of the Opera, Side Show) will perform "The Impossible Dream" from Man of La Mancha and "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables, while Dacal will offer "Once More I Can See" from the upcoming Frank Wildhorn musical Wonderland. Dacal stars in the new Broadway musical based on the classic "Alice in Wonderland," which arrives on Broadway in March.

The evening will also include Bob McGrath ("Sesame Street"), pianist Eldar, violinist Ryu Goto and the New York Pops under the baton of Francisco J. Núñez. The Young People's Chorus of New York will also showcase their own talents, including "The Song I Sing," penned by Ragtime Tony Award winners Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens.

The evening will also honor YPC board member David Weild III, Esq., of Edwards, Angell, Palmer & Dodge with its Humanitarian Award; David Lai, A&R producer at Sony Masterworks with its Artistic Award; and James Anderson, regional vice president at Travelers, with the YPC’s Corporate Award.
