Comic, broadcaster, and actor Jason Manford, who hosted the Olivier Awards in 2017, will return as host for the 2019 Olivier Awards, which will be held April 7 at Royal Albert Hall.
In addition to his numerous TV credits, including 8 Out of 10 Cats and Live at The Apollo, Manford has also appeared on stage in Sweeney Todd, the U.K. tour of The Producers, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He will also star in a new touring production of the Kander and Ebb musical Curtains this fall.
In a statement, Manford said, “I’m absolutely chuffed to bits to be back hosting the Olivier Awards at the Royal Albert Hall. Having worked in theatres all across the country doing both stand-up and musicals for the last 20 years, I know the hard work that goes into putting on a show. It’s a privilege to host this star-studded evening and to celebrate the very best of all areas of British theatrical talent.”
