The Festival cast, which included Matt Bogart (Jersey Boys) as Himself, literary genius James Joyce; and Jessica Burrows (Doctor Zhivago) as the devoted chambermaid Nora with J.B. Wing, David Arthur and Brian Sills, will record the score Oct. 15-16 in Manhattan. A spring release date is expected.
"In this bawdy and funny, uplifting, and melodic new musical," press notes state, "Himself and Nora sings the story of one of the great love affairs of the time. A love which resulted in their exile from their beloved Ireland, the condemnation of the Catholic church, and ultimately some of the greatest writing of the 20th century."
Michael Bush directed the New York Musical Theatre Festival production.
