News Jayne Houdyshell and Liv Rooth Will Populate Westport Comedies This Summer Tony Award nominee Jayne Houdyshell will star in the Westport Country Playhouse production of George Kelly's The Show-Off, while All in the Timing actress Liv Rooth will appear in the Connecticut company's staging of Loot this summer.

Houdyshell, a Tony Award nominee for Well and Follies, will play Mrs. Fisher in Kelly's comedy The Show-Off, about a family thrown into upheaval when their daughter falls for a loudmouth. Nicholas Martin will direct the June 11-29 production.

Rooth, who stood-by in the role of Vanda in Broadway's Venus and Fur and currently stars in David Ives' All in the Timing Off-Broadway, will portray Fay in Joe Orton's farce Loot, which will be directed by David Kennedy July 16-Aug. 3. The play centers on two bankrobbers on the run.

Additional casting for Westport's 2013 season will be announced in the coming months.
