Gingold Theatrical Group's 12th season continues July 17 with an evening offering scenes and monologues from some of George Bernard Shaw’s greatest works.

Entitled Super Shaw Women, the one-night-only event features the talents of Tony winner Jayne Houdyshell, Tony nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega, Sondra Lee, Mia Katigbak, Sheria Irving, and Alison Cimmet. Artistic Director David Staller helms the performance, which begins at 7 PM at Symphony Space’s Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2537 Broadway at 95th Street).

The cast will showcase scenes and monologues with their favorite Shaw characters, including scenes from Candida, Man and Superman, Mrs. Warren's Profession, Pygmalion, Back to Methuselah, The Apple Cart, Misalliance, and Heartbreak House.

“It's summer and we're determined to shake things up with some madcap madness, allowing some of our favorite actors to re-invent some of their favorite Shaw characters for one night only. They'll have the full run of Shaw's canon of 65 plays to toy with, whether age or sex appropriate, with a magnificent finale of everyone getting their chance to dive into Saint Joan!” said Staller in an earlier statement.

Tickets are $35 and are available by calling (212) 864-5400 or online at SymphonySpace.org. Special reserved VIP seating is available for $50 by contacting the Gingold office at [email protected].
