Classic Arts News Jazz at Lincoln Center and XM Satellite Radio Announce Partnership XM Satellite Radio will broadcast daily from a studio at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rose Hall under an agreement announced by XM and JALC this week.
The facility in Columbus Circle will host several of XM's jazz-related channels, including Real Jazz, which features traditional jazz; Frank's Place, which plays music by Frank Sinatra and other vocalists; On Broadway; Beyond Jazz, which plays contemporary jazz; and Audio Visions, which plays New Age music.

In addition, XM and JALC will collaborate on new shows, and the satellite -adio provider will record and broadcast some Jazz at Lincoln Center events and other live performances at Rose Hall.

"Creating a recorded legacy and disseminating live jazz performances is an essential part of the mission of Jazz at Lincoln Center," said Derek E. Gordon, president and CEO of Jazz at Lincoln Center. "Our collaboration with XM Satellite Radio gives millions of listeners the opportunity to hear the best performers in jazz today, from a venue that was designed to celebrate this great American art form."
