Jeanna de Waal will star as Princess Diana in the forthcoming world premiere of the new musical Diana, which will begin performances February 19, 2019, at La Jolla Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Theatre.
In the video above, the actor, whose Broadway credits include American Idiot and Kinky Boots, says, “I hope people who didn't know about or weren't aware of her journey leave the theatre with an idea of what she did for the world. She made everyone feel special.”

Diana features lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music and lyrics by David Bryan. Tony winner Christopher Ashley will direct, with choreography by Kelly Devine.
