News Jeff Still, Keith Perry Cast in New York Run of Waiting for Lefty The Portmanteau Theatre Company's inaugural production will be Clifford Odets’ Waiting for Lefty, which will play The Hartley House May 7-29.

Directed by Ilana Becker, the cast will comprise Jeff Still (August: Osage County, Lombardi), Keith Perry (Our Town), Tunde Somade, Daisy Ouzts, Christopher Steve Juergens, Mickey O’Sullivan Rachel James , Mike Mergo, Scott Morse, Brian Henderson, Matthew Shawlin, Ron Scott and Tynan Craycraft.

Waiting for Lefty, according to press notes, "takes place at a union meeting of New York taxi drivers in a heated argument over whether or not to strike for a living wage and better working conditions. Over the course of the play, several union members step forward to recount their stories, allowing us intimate windows into their lives and personal struggles toward a better lot in life."

The production will also feature lighting design by Burnside Design Studio, costume design by Lisa Renee Jordan, sound design by Jay Spriggs and set consultation by Michele Spadaro.

Show times will be Saturdays at 5:30 PM and Sundays at 7:30 PM.
