Jekyll & Hyde, now in its third year on Broadway, will send its national touring company to the Pantages Theatre on Sept. 7 for a two-week run through Sept. 19. The show features book and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and a score by Frank Wildhorn.

The featured performers in the company are Chuck Wagner (Jekyll & Hyde); Sharon Brown (Lucy Harris) and Andrea Rivette (Emma Carew). The production is directed by David Warren based on the original Broadway direction of Robin Phillips.

The musical debuted in 1990 at Houston's Alley Theatre. A recording was then released, yielding the hit songs "Someone Like You" and "This is the Moment," and selling more than 150,000 copies to date. Such stars as Liza Minnelli and The Moody Blues later recorded and performed songs from the show. A subsequent version of the complete score was recorded by Atlantic Records.

On April 28, 1997 an entirely new production of the musical opened at the Plymouth Theatre on Broadway, where it has been playing to full houses ever since. The show boasts of a legion of repeat visitors nicknamed "Jekkies."

The Pantages Theatre is located at 6233 Hollywood Blvd. For tickets and information call (323) 365-3500.
