Instead of Phantom of the Opera , I'm Phantom of the Beach!" is what actor Robert Cuccioli had to say about his upcoming stint on "Baywatch," airing on UPN-TV the week of April 21.

His "Baywatch" appearances were taped previously and will not in any way interfere with his J&H duties.

Cuccioli received great acclaim for his portrayal of the Phantom in the Westchester Broadway Theatre's production of Maury Yeston's Phantom. Currently in previews on Broadway as the leading man in Jekyll & Hyde, Cuccioli describes his "Baywatch" character as an "enigmatic, disfigured, Edgar Allan Poe-quoting recluse haunted by a dark personal tragedy and obsessed with Pamela Lee."

No "Phantom" to television, Cuccioli has appeared repeatedly on ABC's daytime drama's All My Children, and One Life to Live. He received rave reviews for his performance in the touring productions of Jekyll and Hyde, and a fan club for the musical actor was nationally chartered in 1992.

Jekyll & Hyde opens April 28. For more information on the season's final episode of "Baywatch," guest starring Cuccioli, check your UPN-TV local listings.
