Amanda Green AF*, otherwise known as *And Friends (Wait, what did you think it was?), launches its monthly engagement at Birdland September 23 with a rotating lineup of guest stars including Howard McGillin, Jenn Colella, Martha Plimpton, Ryann Redmond, Javier Munoz, and Mandy Gonzalez.
Showtime is 7:30 PM. Musical direction is by Matt Gallagher with Sean McDaniel on drums.
The concerts promise an evening of “funny and moving songs, including special previews of her up and coming shows.” Green is currently writing lyrics for a new musical with Billy Crystal and Jason Robert Brown, and Female Troubles, an original musical comedy conceived by Green and composer Curtis Moore.
Her credits also include Hands on a Hardbody, Bring It On, and High Fidelity.
