News Jerry Springer Makes U.K. Pantomime Debut in Peter Pan, Opening Dec. 31 Jerry Springer returns to the London stage, where he previously did a stint as Billy Flynn in the West End edition of Chicago in June 2009, to play the evil Captain Hook in a pantomime version of Peter Pan, playing at Wimbledon Theatre in South West London. He begins performances Dec. 31, for a run through Jan. 8, with further dates on Jan. 13-14.

He alternates in the role with David Hasselhoff, who has already opened in the show and will play all other performances through Jan. 16.

Springer is best known for his long-running TV series "The Jerry Springer Show," subsequently immortalized in the British musical Jerry Springer – the Opera, premiered at the National Theatre in 2003. In the U.K., he has guest-hosted the TV series "Have I Got News For You" and "This Morning."
