Jersey Boys' Michael Longoria to Release Solo Album | Playbill

News Jersey Boys' Michael Longoria to Release Solo Album Broadway Brick By Brick will feature a selection of musical theatre classics.

Original Jersey Boys star Michael Longoria will release his solo album on the Broadway Records label May 6 titled Broadway Brick By Brick. Through a selection of musical theatre favorites, including “Maria” from West Side Story and “Home” from The Wiz, the album chronicles Longoria’s journey from Los Angeles to the Broadway stage.

“I didn’t dare look back as I turned to walk down a long hallway at Los Angeles International Airport to board a plane headed for New York City,” said Longoria in a statement. “I kept telling myself to keep walking as tears streamed down my face, knowing that it was time to go find myself in the Big Apple. It feels like a lifetime since I was that kid, claiming his destiny, boarding pass in hand. I wanted to tell that story... how a little mariachi boy chased the impossible dream and found a home onstage in New York City.”
