On Dec. 17 the singing actor will present Christmas in Black and White at the New York nightspot. Show time is 9:30 PM.

The evening, according to press notes, "reflects on the feeling you would get from watching those classic black-and-white Christmas specials. As the evening progresses, the show turns to color, and a celebration of the holiday season will begin." Cabaretgoers can expect to hear tunes by Gershwin, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Johnny Mercer, Lerner and Loewe, Rodgers and Hart and more.

Daniel Reichard currently plays Bob Gaudio in Jersey Boys, a role he created at the La Jolla Playhouse. The actor made his New York debut in Forbidden Broadway: 20th Anniversary Celebration and then played Keith Haring in the Public Theater's Radiant Baby. He appeared Off-Broadway in The Thing About Men, and his regional credits include productions of Brigadoon and Blood Drive. Reichard has also become a mainstay on the cabaret scene, offering acclaimed solo shows at Joe's Pub, the Ars Nova, the Metropolitan Room and Birdland.

The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22nd Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. There is a $30 cover charge and a two-drink minimum; call (212) 206-0440 for reservations.
