The agreement will allocate private funding for 7 Spencer Productions LLC's romantic comedy feature film "Three Roses and a Dance" and a thriller "Forevermore" — both to be directed by Spencer. 7 Spencer Productions will act as executive producer and arrange future worldwide distribution, according to an announcement. Details on the upcoming films will be announced at a later date.
Spencer recently penned in the independent feature "Farm Girl in New York" with A Chorus Line star Jeffrey Howard Schecter and Josh Wade. (He also produced, directing and appeared in it.) The cast also features Allison Munn, Chryssie Whitehead and J. Elaine Marcos. The movie was screened at the Big Apple Film Festival in New York City Nov. 15 to a sold-out crowd.
The actor — who spent some time writing in Los Angeles prior to landing his current gig in Jersey Boys — had previously worked on short films and sketch comedy. He appears in the 2006 Tony Award-winning Best Musical as late Four Seasons member Nick Massi. His Broadway debut was in Side Show — where he appeared opposite his wife, Jenny-Lynn Suckling.
