News Jersey Boys Star Leone to Play The Metropolitan Room John Leone, who recently played Nick Massi in the Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys, will make his Metropolitan Room debut Jan. 31.

Leone's 4 PM show is titled Songs My Father Loved. The afternoon, which is produced by Lynn DiMenna’s M Lynn Enterprises, will feature direction by Dann Fink. Leone will be backed by The David Brunetti Trio. "The fast paced homage to some of the iconic male voices of the 20th century," according to press notes, "celebrates Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Vic Damone, and Jerry Vale, among others.  All share Leone’s Italian-American heritage, but it is the influence these singers had on Leone’s father and his cronies at their local social club, the Sons of Italy, that affected Leone most.  Here is where he launched his show business career – first as a singing busboy, and later as 'the lodge’s' house wedding band singer."

Leone has also appeared on Broadway in Les Miserables and in the national tour of Titanic.

The cover charge is $25 (plus a two-drink minimum). For reservations call (212) 206-0440 or visit www.metropolitanroom.com. The Metropolitan Room is located in Manhattan at 34 West 22nd Street.
