The current tour kicked off at San Francisco's Curran Theatre (where it runs through April 29) and will next play an 11-week stint at Los Angeles' Ahmanson Theatre (May 25-Aug. 5). Also previously scheduled is a stop at Chicago's LaSalle Bank Theatre in October.
Among the new stops added are Tempe, San Diego, Costa Mesa, Seattle, Houston, Tampa, Minneapolis and Cleveland.
Deven May (Bat Boy) plays Tommy DeVito, Erich Bergen (White Christmas) takes on Bob Gaudio, Michael Ingersoll (I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change) plays Nick Massi, and Christopher Kale Jones (Zhivago) tackles Frankie Valli in the current company. They are joined by John Altieri (as Bob Crewe) and Joseph Siravo (Gyp DeCarlo) along with Miles Aubrey, Erik Bates, Douglas Crawford, Sandra DeNise, Jennifer Evans, Rick Faugno, Eric Gutman, Nathan Klau, Brandon Matthieus, Jackie Seiden, Jarrod Spector, Taylor Sternberg and Melissa Strom.
Casting for the second company and which cast will play specific engagements will be announced at a later date.
The lineup of cities (with start dates) of the two touring companies for the 2007-08 season (subject to change) follows:
Des McAnuff (The Who's Tommy, Big River) directs and Sergio Trujillo choreographs the story of American pop group The Four Seasons — the highs, the lows and all in between.
Jersey Boys features music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and a book by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice. The production garnered four Tony Award wins: for stars John Lloyd Young and Christian Hoff, lighting designer Howell Binkley and for the top prize Best Musical.
The design team includes Klara Zieglerova (scenic), Jess Goldstein (costume), Howell Binkley (lighting), Steve Canyon Kennedy (sound), Michael Clark (projections) and Charles LaPointe (wig and hair design). Steve Orich handles orchestrations while Ron Melrose takes on music direction, vocal arrangements and incidental music.
The Jersey Boys tour is produced by Dodger Theatricals, Joseph J. Grano, Tamara and Kevin Kinsella, Pelican Group, in association with Latitude Link and Rick Steiner.
