News Jessica Chastain Will Star Opposite Colin Farrell in Film Adaptation of August Strindberg's Miss Julie Jessica Chastain, who currently plays the title role in Broadway's The Heiress, will star in a film adaptation of August Strindberg's Miss Julie, according to Variety.

Oscar and Tony nominee Liv Ullmann ("Face to Face," A Doll's House) will direct the adaptation, which will cast Chastain opposite film actor Colin Farrell ("Phone Booth," "Total Recall"). Samantha Morton will also appear in the film.

In Miss Julie, the daughter (Chastain) of a powerful count enters into a dangerously flirtatious relationship with a footman on her father's estate. The work debuted on Broadway in February 1956.

Oliver Dungey and Teun Hilte will produce the upcoming film.

Chastain, who received an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe Award for her performance in "Zero Dark Thirty," is currently making her Broadway debut as Catherine Sloper in The Heiress.
