News Jessie Mueller, Carey Anderson, Adam Kantor, Steve Rosen Set for I Miss the City Concert The songs of Chicago-based actor, composer/lyricist and singer/songwriter Alan Schmuckler will be presented at Joe's Pub March 12.

The 10 PM concert, which is titled Alan Schmuckler: I Miss the City, will feature the talents of Jessie Mueller (On a Clear Day You Can See Forever), Carey Anderson (Avenue Q, Mamma Mia!), Jen Sese (Carrie, Hair), Adam Kantor (Rent) and Steve Rosen (Guys and Dolls, The Farnsworth Invention, Spamalot).

Schmuckler will also host the evening, which will include selections from his musical theatre work and some of his more personal, singer/songwriter pieces.

Magic Futurebox and Jo Lampert produce.

As a composer, Schmuckler's new musical The Emperor’s New Clothes (book by David Holstein) enjoyed a critically acclaimed premiere production at the Tony-winning Chicago Shakespeare Theater the summer of 2010. He and Michael Mahler co-wrote book, music and lyrics for Chicago Shakespeare’s How Can You Run with a Shell on Your Back?, which premiered and was remounted in 2007, and has since been produced nationwide.
