The one-person comedy with music stars Jake Ehrenreich, who also penned the show. He is backed by a quartet of musician-singers. John Huberth directs with musical direction by Elysa Sunshine. The creative team also features Joseph Egan (set design), Lisa Ehrenreich (costume design), Anjeanette Stokes (lighting design) and David Ferdinand and One Dream Sound (sound design).

In a recent statement actor-writer Ehrenreich said, "Audiences keep coming, and coming back with their friends and their family. I come out to meet with the audience after each show. I'm so grateful because so many people will relate their own life experiences to me; they're from a survivor family, or grew up in Brooklyn, or loved early rock music, or went to the Catskills, or just relate to the American immigrant's journey. There's something universal. So now we're moving Brooklyn a few blocks south of Times Square to an even larger theatre."

A Jew Grows in Brooklyn, according to production notes, concerns "a young man and his family's quest for the American dream. When Jake Ehrenreich was growing up in Brownsville in the 1960s, he wanted nothing more than to be an American. But his Yiddish-speaking parents, who failed to understand the game of baseball or make sense of rock music, made it difficult for him to feel part of the mainstream culture."

Actor-writer Ehrenreich has appeared on Broadway in Dancin', Barnum and They're Playing Our Song and Off-Broadway in Jonah, Songs of Paradise, The Golden Land and A Hot Minute. He also toured internationally as Ringo in Beatlemania.
