News Jill Abramovitz, Leo Ash Evens, Amy Justman, Harris Doran to Perform BMI Workshop Writers' Songs The Winter Smoker, a semi-annual concert that spotlights new work by songwriters from The BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, will be held Jan. 13 at 5:30 PM in the Workshop's New York office.

The workshop is open to industry members in addition to members of the BMI Workshop.

Performer and Workshop writer Jill Abramovitz will sing "Christmas Without You," by Joe Kinosian and Kellen Blair. Leo Ash Evens will perform "Save the Environment" with the song's composer-lyricist Beth Falcone. MAC Award-winning composer-lyricist Mary Liz McNamara and bass player/recording artist Ritt Henn will perform the title song from The Good Girl,  which features McNamara's music (with a book co-written by Arden Kass).

Amy Justman will perform "Exciting to Me" from Touched, by Matt Van Brink and Charlie Sohne. Rosemary Loar and Jeannine Frumess will lend their voices to "Prom Night" from Drive, the new musical by Andy Monroe (The Kid). Gillian Goldberg will sing a new song written by composer-lyricist-performer Jeff Blumenkrantz (Urban Cowboy). Tracie Higgins and composer-lyricist Michael Ogborn will perform "The Diction Lesson" from Ogborn's musical The Three Maries.

Lyricist-performer Raymond Bokhour (who has played Amos Hart in Chicago) will sing two songs from The Suicide, the musical he co-wrote with composer Simon Gray. Bokhour will be accompanied by Tim Rosser at the piano.

Liz Queler will perform "Free Love" from Snow, the new musical by composer-author Sean Hartley (Drama Desk Award nominee for Cupid and Psyche). She will be accompanied by Simon Kafka on guitar and Cupid and Psyche composer Jihwan Kim on piano. Harris Doran will sing "Step Right Up" by composer David Gaines and lyricist Michelle Foor. Haley Greenstein will perform "There's Nothing Wrong with Me" by composer-lyricist Rebecca Greenstein.
