News Jill Clayburgh and Original Off-Broadway Stars Reprise The Busy World Is Hushed in L.A. Jill Clayburgh, Hamish Linklater and Luke McFarlane — the original Off-Broadway cast of Keith Bunin's The Busy World Is Hushed — reprise their roles for the West Coast premiere at Los Angeles Theatre Works, which begins performances Feb. 7.

Performances run through Feb. 11 at the Skirball Cultural Center for the company's "The Play's The Thing" radio theatre series. Shows are performed live and recorded for future broadcast.

The Busy World Is Hushed centers on a widowed Episcopal minister, her scholarly assistant and her wayward son. Clayburgh (Barefoot in the Park, The Clean House, "Nip/Tuck") stars as the mother with Linklater ("The New Adventures of Old Christine,"Recent Tragic Events) as her assistant and MacFarlane ("Brothers & Sisters," Where Do We Live?) as her son.

The work switches slots (due to the cast's February availability) with the previously announced run of Charles Busch's comedy The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, starring Marsha Mason, Tony Roberts, Estelle Harris and Jobeth Williams. The Busch work will now play May 16-20.

The 2006-07 "Voices from the Edge" season lineup will next offer Rinne Groff's The Ruby Sunrise starring Lili Taylor, Adam Arkin and Harriet Sansom Harris (March 14-18); Arthur Miller's The Man Who Had All The Luck with Kurtwood Smith (April 11-15); Charles Busch's The Tale of the Allergist's Wife (May 16-20); Melinda Lopez's Sonia Flew with Hector Elizondo and Phillip Casnoff (June 13 17); and one last presentation, scheduled for a July 11-15 run, yet to be announced.
