News Jimmy Smits Will Join Cast of FX's "Sons of Anarchy" Stage and screen actor Jimmy Smits will join the upcoming fifth season of the FX drama "Sons of Anarchy" for a season-long arc, according to Deadline.com.

On "Sons of Anarachy," Smits will play Neron "Nero" Padilla, a "Latino gangbanger with an exit strategy who becomes a dangerous mentor for Jax," played on the series by Charlie Hunnam.

Smits, who won an Emmy for his work on "L.A. Law," has been seen on Broadway in God of Carnage and Anna in the Tropics. His other film and television credits include "NYPD Blue," "Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones," "Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith" and "The West Wing," among others.

"Sons of Anarchy" is scheduled to return to FX in summer 2012. For more on the series, click here.
