Feinstein’s at The Regency, the night club that shares space with the 540 Park restaurant, best known as the “power breakfast” room, has announced its summer line-up, which begins with a special engagement with Jimmy Webb and Glen Campbell.

On May 16, Feinstein's presents two influential artists who have helped shaped the direction of popular music for close to four decades—guitarist and singer Glen Campbell, and songwriter/musical theatre composer Jimmy Webb. Campbell helped popularize Webb's works in the '60s with his versions of such Webb songs as "The Wichita Lineman" and "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," and by eventually featuring Webb's works on 18 separate albums. In the '60s, Webb also contributed to the early success of the Fifth Dimension and wrote their hit, "Up, Up and Away," which was also the title of a Webb musical which was produced at the Paper Mill Playhouse. Already established as one of the most respected songwriters in popular music, Webb has worked with artists ranging from Frank Sinatra to Reba McEntire and continues to explore a variety of musical theatre projects. Campbell and Webb play Feinstein's through May 20.

Also scheduled at Feinstein's at the Regency this summer are:
• Lainie Kazan, May 23 – May 27
• Rosemary Clooney, May 30 – June 10
• Eric Comstock, June 12, 19 and 26
• Marc Salem, June 27 – Sept. 2

Feinstein's is named for the club's co-owner, Grammy-nominated pop vocalist, songwriter and music archivist Michael Feinstein. Feinstein's partner in the club is Jonathan Tisch, president and chief executive officer of Lowes Hotels.

The Regency is located at 540 Park Avenue at 61st Street in New York City. For tickets, club information, schedule and cover charge for each performer call (212) 339-4095. -- By Murdoch McBride
