"My mother has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable. Thank you for your continued support," Rivers said in a Sept. 3 statement posted on Joan Rivers' official Facebook page.

Rivers, who was undergoing a procedure on her vocal cords at an Upper East Side clinic Aug. 28, was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital in "cardiac and respiratory arrest" shortly after 9:30 AM, according to FDNY. Rivers was soon upgraded from critical to stable condition on Aug. 28.

In a previous statement issued Sept. 2, Melissa Rivers stated that her mother remained on life support, despite reports that she was being brought out of a coma and making slow steps toward recovery.

"On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we've received. At this time, she does remain on life support," she said in a statement. "I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness, and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers."
