News   Joan Rivers to Return to the Laurie Beechman for Fall Run
Tony-nominated comedian Joan Rivers will make audiences laugh weekly at the Laurie Beechman Theater.

After a recent August engagement at the West 42nd Street venue, Rivers returns Sept. 16 to offer her signature brand of comedy, which promises "outrageous riffs on Hollywood, pop culture, celebrities, and award show fashions." Rivers will take the stage Wednesday evenings at 8 PM through Dec. 16.

Joan Rivers earned a Best Actress Tony nomination for her 1994 play Sally Marr...and Her Escorts, which she co-wrote with Erin Sanders and director Lonny Price. She made her Broadway debut in Fun City and later joined the cast of Neil Simon's Broadway Bound. She was a regular guest-host for Johnny Carson on "The Tonight Show" and also hosted "The Joan Rivers Show."

A portion of the $30 cover will benefit God's Love We Deliver and Guide Dogs for the Blind. There is a $15 food and drink minimum at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

There will be no performances Oct. 14, Nov. 4 or Nov. 11; however, added shows will take place Sept. 22, Oct. 8 and Oct. 27 at 8 PM.

For tickets phone (212) 352-3101 or visit SpinCycleNYC. The Laurie Beechman Theater is located within the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street.
