The American Repertory Theatre production of Joe Orton's Loot begins previews Jan. 28 in Cambridge. The show opens Feb. 2 and runs through March 15 in repertory with Charles L. Mee's Full Circle.

A black comedy, Loot is directed by Andrei Belgrader and stars Thomas Derrah, Sean Dugan, Alvin Epstein, Jeremy Geidt and Laurie Williams.

The play involves two friends, Dennis and Hal, who rob a bank and stash their "loot" in Hal's mother's coffin, an exhumation that unearths a series of hilarious story lines.

The production team for the show comprises set designer Anita Stewart, costume designer Catharine Zuber, lighting designer Michael Chybowski and sound designer Christopher Walker.

The American Repertory Theatre is located at the Loeb Drama Center in Harvard Square at 64 Brattle Street in Cambridge. Tickets range from $24 - $57 depending on the day of the week and seating selection. Discounts are available. For information call (617) 547-8300 or visit www.amrep.org. -- By Murdoch McBride
