News John Caird and John Napier Will Join Forces for Don Giovanni Tony Award winners John Caird and John Napier, who joined forces for Les Miserables and The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, will re-team for the Welsh National Opera's upcoming production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni, which will open the company's 2011-12 season.

Opening night is scheduled for Sept. 16 at 7 PM at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff. The opera will be performed in Italian with English and Welsh surtitles.

Caird will direct the production, which will feature scenic design by Napier, costume design by Napier and Yoon Bae, lighting design by David Hersey and choreography by Andrew Wright.

David Kempster will star in a cast that also includes David Soar, Camilla Roberts, Carlo Malinverno, Robin Tritschler, Nuccia Focile, Claire Ormshaw and Gary Griffiths.

Lothar Koenigs will conduct the orchestra.
