OnlyFans is spreading its...wings and getting into the theatre game. Hedwig and the Angry Inch writer and star John Cameron Mitchell is executive producing a new digital play series for the platform titled xXPonyBoyDerekXx, launcing October 2.

Described as a "boundary-breaking digital play fusing theatre, film, and mixed digital media," the project follows an 18-year-old OnlyFans creator in realtime via OnlyFans and X posts. The project is written by Gage Tarlton and co-directed by Tarlton and Carlos Cardona, with Arterial Projects serving as producer.

An up-and-coming viral internet star will be starring in the title role, with the performer's identity kept secret until the final scenes. OnlyFans creator Boomer Banks co-stars. Casting is by Victor Vazquez.

"Gage Tarlton hacks the commercial source code of the OnlyFans hi-tech strip club to craft a totally new kind of humane storytelling. It flips the camera back onto the viewer to force them to experience the actual humanity behind digital sex work," says Mitchell. "Finally! Young intelligent filmmakers and theatre-makers subvert the Porn Industrial Complex for the purpose of empathy!"

The series features scenic design by Ana Novačić, costume design by Catharina Schürenberg, art direction by Sydney Buchan, and original music by Daniel Schlossberg. Brayden Simpson serves as line producer and Brian Sabowski is the unit production manager. Teniece Divya Johnson is intimacy consultant, and Marcus Watson is intimacy coordinator. Creative campaign direction and design are by BLT Communications (Barbie, Asteroid City, Past Lives).

The series streams for subscribers at OnlyFans.com.
