News John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey Wish You a Swingin' Christmas at Carnegie Hall Beginning Dec. 16 The New York Pops orchestra, under the musical direction of Steven Reineke, celebrates the holidays with swinging seasonal favorites sung by John Pizzarelli (Dream) and Jessica Molaskey (Sunday in the Park With George, Parade, Dream) Dec. 16-17 at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage.

John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey Wish You a Swingin' Christmas, beginning at 8 PM, features the couple performing hits by Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole and Rosemary Clooney. Essential Voices USA, conducted by Judith Cluman, also joins The New York Pops at the concert.

Audiences can expect to hear holiday favorites including “We Need a Little Christmas,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Go Tell It On the Mountain,” “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy,” “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm” and “Little Bolero Boy,” among others.

Following their New York appearance, Pizzarelli and Molaskey will perform their Swingin' Christmas concert with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Dec. 20 at 8 PM.

The New York Pops is the largest independent pops orchestra in the United States, and the only professional symphonic orchestra in New York City specializing in popular music. The New York Pops was founded by Skitch Henderson in 1983 with a mission to create greater public awareness and appreciation of America's rich musical heritage.
