The actors will play the parents of a new character, a contractor played by Brian Austin Green of "Beverly Hills 90210" fame.
Schneider, best known for "The Dukes of Hazard," has appeared on Broadway in Chicago and Grand Hotel. Travis, known for her work on "Becker" and "The Bill Engvall Show," was seen in the Geffen Playhouse production of Love, Loss and What I Wore and on Broadway in I'm Not Rappaport and Brighton Beach Memoirs.
The seventh season of "Desperate Housewives" will begin Sept. 26 on ABC.
