News Jonathan Ansell and Daniel Boys Will Be Heard on Helena Blackman's Solo CD; Track List Announced West End star Helena Blackman, who may best be remembered as the runner-up in the BBC-TV casting program "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?," will release her debut solo recording in 2011.

Entitled "The Sound of Rodgers & Hammerstein," the disc will be released in the U.K. Feb. 14, 2011. Blackman will be joined by the classical singer Jonathan Ansell and her fellow West End star Daniel Boys on two separate duets.

The new recording is produced by Neil Eckersley and Paul Spicer for Speckulation Entertainment with musical supervision by Mike Dixon, musical direction by David Randall and orchestrations by Michael Bruce. Recorded at Angel Studios in December 2010, the recording will be released by Speckulation Entertainment.

Blackman headlined the U.K. tour of Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific, and starred in the West End première of Stephen Sondheim’s Saturday Night. Her many other theatre credits include Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and the title role in Gypsy.
