News Jonathan Larson Award Winners Announced The winners of the Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation Awards are Matt Gould, Melissa Li, Abe Rybeck, Robert Maddock, J. Oconer Navarro, Benj Pasek, Justin Paul and Mike Pettry.

St. Ann's Warehouse received the organization award for a musical theatre project in development, for Most Don't Whip 'Um by Cynthia Hopkins, a previous individual winner. The winners were announced at a private lunch at the 21 Club on Feb. 15. The event included songs written by last year's winners performed by Amy Spanger, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Julie Danao Salkin, Kristin Maloney, Michael Winther and Michael Craig.

The awards for individuals are given to promising musical theatre composers, lyricists and book writers and include a cash gift ranging from $3,000 to $12,000.

Tina Landau, David Loud, Stephen Schwartz and Tim Weil selected the winners from over 200 applicants.

The foundation is named for Larson, the late composer of Rent. For more information visit www.jlpaf.org
