News Jones, Bogart, Ramey and Grové Are Territory Folk in Pittsburgh CLO Oklahoma! Shirley Jones, the luminous Laurey from the film version of Oklahoma!, steps into the sensible shoes of butter-churning matriarch Aunt Eller in the new Pittsburgh CLO production of the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic June 19-July 1.

Joining the Academy Award winner at the Benedum Center are Matt Bogart (Broadway's Aida, Miss Saigon) as Curly, Jessica Grové (Broadway's Thoroughly Modern Millie) as Laurey, Aaron Ramey as Jud Fry, Jason Graae as Ali Hakim, Jennifer Cody as Ado Annie and Leo Ash Evens as Will Parker.

Jones is beloved for her work in the films "Oklahoma!," "Carousel," "The Music Man" and "Elmer Gantry" (for which she won an Academy Award).

"Set in Oklahoma just after the turn of the century, Oklahoma! takes audiences on a wild ride with Laurey, Curly, Ado Annie and Will Parker as they search for love and happiness on the Oklahoma prairie," according to Pittsburgh CLO. "With its mid-western setting and romantic story, audiences are sure to fall in love with this timeless classic all over again."

The 1943 musical was the first collaboration of lyricist-librettist Oscar Hammerstein II and composer Richard Rodgers. The score includes "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'," "I Cain't Say No," "Out of My Dreams" and the title song.

Glenn Casale, a Tony Award nominee for his direction of the Broadway production of Peter Pan, starring Cathy Rigby, directs. He also directed the current national tour of Camelot. Tom Helm is musical director. Mark Esposito choreographs.
