Jordan Harrison’s new play The Amateurs, which opened to positive reviews from critics February 27, will play an additional two weeks Off-Broadway. The comedy-drama follows a rag-tag group of pageant players attempting to outrun the Black Death in 14th-century Europe and looks at the meaning of art in the face of a crisis.

The world-premiere production is directed by Oliver Butler at The Vineyard Theatre. Performances began February 8 and are now scheduled through March 29 (the limited engagement was previously scheduled to play through March 18.)
The cast of The Amateurs is made up of Kyle Beltran (Gloria), Quincy Tyler Bernstine (Ruined), Michael Cyril Creighton (Stage Kiss), Greg Keller (Somewhere Fun), Jennifer Kim (Gloria), and Thomas Jay Ryan (The Crucible).
