Josette DiCarlo, a Chicago actress recently relocated to southern California, will play diva Maria Callas in Santa Monica's Ensemble Theatre Company's production of Terrence McNally's The Master Class, opening April 2 for a one-month run. Another new actor to Ensemble is Teressa McKillop, who will play the student Sharon. Joe White has been cast as the Stage Hand, Holly Ferguson as Sophie and Mark O'Brien as Tony. The latter two actors appeared together at the Ensemble last year in Jacque Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris.
Master Class is directed by Rae Allen and has a creative team comprised of Barbara Lackner (costumes), Gary Wissman (scenic designer) and Peter Gottleib (lighting designer).
