News Joshua Harmon's Bad Jews to Receive U.K. Premiere at Bath's Ustinov Studio Joshua Harmon's Bad Jews, which premiered in October 2013 at the Roundabout's Black Box Theatre as part of the Roundabout Underground season before transferring to the upstairs Laura Pels Theatre, is to receive its U.K. premiere at Bath's Ustinov Studio. It will begin performances there July 31 prior to an official opening Aug. 12, for a run through Aug. 30.

It will be directed by Michael Longhurst, who has previously directed Nick Payne's Constellations at the Royal Court's Theatre Upstairs (and its subsequent transfer to the West End's Duke of York's), as well as the Off-Broadway premiere of Payne's If There Is I Haven't Found it Yet at Roundabout's Laura Pels Theatre. He has also directed The World of Extreme Happiness at the National's Shed, Cannibals at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester and The History Boys at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre. In the play, "a beloved grandfather — and Holocaust survivor — has died, and a treasured family heirloom with religious significance is up for grabs. But who is most deserving of it? Bossy, overbearing, fanatically religious Daphna? Her wealthy cousin Liam, who’s just returned from skiing with his non-Jewish girlfriend Melody? Or Jonah, his brother, who would prefer not to get involved in the fight?"

Harmon's other plays include A Boy Named Alice, Love in the Time of Channukah, Princess Bubonic and Terese Raquin.
