News Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing Film, With Amy Acker, Tom Lenk and Alexis Denisof, Will Hit Theatres in June Screenwriter and director Joss Whedon's film adaptation of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing is scheduled to open in theatres June 7.

The film, by Bellwether Pictures, will feature Amy Acker as Beatrice, Alexis Denisof as Benedick, Tom Lenk (Rock of Ages) as Verges, Clark Gregg (A Few Good Men) as Leonato, Reed Diamond (The Homecoming) as Don Pedro, Nathan Fillion as Dogberry, Sean Maher as Don John, Fran Kranz as Claudio, Jillian Morgese as Hero, Ashley Johnson as Margaret, Spencer Treat Clark as Borachio and Riki Lindhome as Conrade with Nick Kocher, Brian McElhaney, Paul M. Meston, Emma Bates, Romy Rosemont and Joshua Zar. An official selection of the 2012 Toronto Film Festival, the film is produced by Whedon and Kai Cole and co-executed produced by Daniel S. Kaminsky.

According to producers, "Shot in 12 days (and using the original text), the story of sparring lovers Beatrice (Acker) and Benedick (Denisof) offers a dark, sexy and occasionally absurd view of the intricate game that is love."
