Casting has been revealed for the upcoming Broadway production of The Notebook. The musical adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' novel of the same title will make its anticipated premiere on Broadway this coming spring. Previews will begin at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre February 10, 2024 ahead of a March 14 opening night.

Based on the best-selling Nicholas Sparks novel, the new musical features music and lyrics by singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, with a book by playwright Bekah Brunstetter. The production first made its critically acclaimed world premiere at Chicago Shakespeare Theater last fall. See what the critics had to say here.

The musical follows Allie and Noah, who share a lifetime of love despite the forces that threaten to pull them apart. The core creative team members from the Chicago Shakespeare Theater run will return for the Broadway production—with direction by Michael Greif (Dear Evan Hansen, Rent) and Schele Williams (Aida, Motown the Musical), and choreography by Katie Spelman.

The leading cast, which will portray Allie and Noah across their lifetimes, will include Jordan Tyson as Younger Allie, Joy Woods as Middle Allie, and Tony Award-winner Maryann Plunkett as Older Allie; and John Cardoza as Younger Noah, Ryan Vasquez as Middle Noah, and Dorian Harewood as Older Noah. Tyson, Woods, Plunkett, Cardoza, and Vasquez are reprising their roles from the show's world premiere in Chicago last year, and Harewood will make his return to Broadway for the first time in 45 years. Additional casting will be announced soon.
