Directed by Daniel Haley, Love Letters is the inaugural production of Judson Theatre Company. Show times are Jan. 19-20 at 8 PM, Jan. 21 at 2 PM and 8 PM and Jan. 22 at 3 PM.

Love Letters, according to press notes, "traces the lifelong correspondence of the staid, dutiful lawyer Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and the lively, unstable artist Melissa Gardner. Their bittersweet relationship gradually unfolds from what is written—and what is left unsaid—in their letters."

The work premiered at Connecticut's Long Wharf Theatre in 1989 with Joanna Gleason and John Rubenstein and has been performed all around the world. Laura Linney and Steven Weber starred in a television version of the play.

A.R. Gurney's plays also include Black Tie, The Dining Room, The Cocktail Party, The Perfect Party, Another Antigone, A Cheever Evening, Sylvia, Ancestral Voices and Buffalo Gal, among others. He is the recipient of a Drama Desk Award, a Rockefeller Award and two Lucille Lortel Awards.

Owens Auditorium is on the campus of Sandhills Community College, 3395 Airport Road, Pinehurst, NC. Visit www.JudsonTheatre.com for tickets or call Etix at (800) 514-ETIX (3849).  Tickets are $36 in advance and $40 day of performance.
