Classic Arts News Joyce Theater Announces Spring Schedule The Joyce Theater's 2006 spring season will include performances by Ronald K. Brown/Evidence, Benjamin Millepied & Company, and the Stephen Petronio Company, as well as a festival featuring the junior companies of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, and the Paul Taylor Dance Company.
The New York dance venue will also present Ballet Biarritz, the Richard Alston Dance Company, Danzahoy, DanceBrazil, Martine Pisani, the Tero Saarinen Company, James Sewell Ballet, Children of Uganda, and Moses Pendleton's MOMIX.

Benjamin Millepied & Company, a group led by the NYCB principal dancer, will make its Joyce debut in March. The performances will include guest appearances by American Ballet Theatre stars Gillian Murphy and Ethan Stiefel. At the Joyce Theater Gala on March 15, the company will perform Millepied's We Were Two with live accompaniment by composer Philip Glass.

Other season highlights include the New York premiere of Ronald K. Brown's Order My Steps and the world premiere of Petronio's BLOOM, set to an original score by singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright.

From April 25 to May 7, the Joyce will host the 1-2-3 Festival, with performances in repertory by Ailey II, American Ballet Theatre Studio Company, and Taylor 2. The festival opens on April 25 with an evening featuring all three companies.
