Classic Arts News Joyce Theater Announces Summer Schedule The Joyce Theater's summer programming will include performances by David Dorfman Dance, Pilobolus, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, the New York dance venue announced.
The season runs from May 31 through August 20.

David Dorfman Dance, celebrating its 20th anniversary, will give the world premiere of Old Testament, set to live music by klezmer trumpeter Frank London. Pilobolus will present its evening-legnth MEGAWATT>FULL STRENGTH, with music by the rock bands Primus, Radiohead, and Squarepusher.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago will perform the world premiere of Macho Duato's Gnawa, as well as the New York premiere of Lar Lubovitch's Love Stories, set to love songs performed by jazz vocalist Kurt Elling.

Also on the schedule are performances by Brooklyn's Urban Bush Women, also marking its 20th anniversary; Sešn Curran Company, giving the world premiere of a solo work set to music by Meredith Monk; Pascal Rioult Dance Theatre; Tap City; and Ballet New York.
