SAN DIEGO -- Judith, a play by radical British playwright Howard Barker, will be given a lab production by the Old Globe Theatre at the House of Charm in Balboa Park. Performances begin Oct. 12 at 8 PM; and continue Oct. 17 & 18 at 8 PM. Admission is free but seating is limited.
Judith, directed by Matthew August (who studied with Barker in England), is based on a story in the Apocrypha and deals with "a beautiful widow who seduces and slays Holofernes, the general of her enemy's army," said a company spokesperson.
