The new musical was penned by Michael Heitzman and Ilene Reid, the Grammy-nominated songwriters of “Throw That Girl Around” and the creators of Bingo, which had a successful Off-Broadway run and continues to have numerous productions nationally and internationally.

Solana, according to press notes, "tells the story of twenty-five year old, adopted Asian-American, Chloe Ellsworth, who is still living at home with her family on their farm in Indiana. Wanting to be a writer, she is desperate to write something important – something that could potentially be the next greatest literary masterpiece of our time. When an unexpected visitor arrives, everything changes and she is thrown into an extraordinary fairy-tale journey that results in a profound understanding about herself and the unresolved feelings she has harbored about her adoption."
